Alice Bonhomme

Alice Bonhomme-Biais is passionate about IT and the social impact that new technologies can have. She holds a PhD in computer science from ENS-Lyon in France and in 2005 she joined Google in New York and worked on search algorithms for Google Maps. In 2010, following the earthquake in Haiti, she was one of the first engineers who created the Google Crisis Response team to use Internet technologies to help people in natural disasters.

In addition to her professional activities, Alice is a member of the board of directors of the Haiti Futur association working on digital education in Haiti. Alice also participates regularly in school events to motivate young students to choose a scientific career.
